Daddy Removals

We used Daddy Removals to move house recently which was a big mistake.

The two men turned up an hour late, with a 2004 van which was far from the modern, clean vans they advertise on their website. The van was dirty throughout and the floor was damp and dusty, they had old blankets to put down but they had holes in them. The van had a completely different logo on it and it soon appeared the company, Daddy Removals was obviously subletting their jobs out.

The two men were unbelievably slow and roped us in to helping them with most of the items (which isn't what you want when you're paying a company to do it for you).

We had been quoted the job would take 4 hours maximum but because the men were so slow it took them 3.5 hours just to load the van. The men were not your typical removal men, they were older, not very fit and walked VERY slowly, everything you hope not to find in your removal men.

The men barely spoke English and did not respect our belongings, we saw them kicking items in the back of the van to get them to squeeze into small spaces and on numerous occasions they threw fragile marked boxes at us to catch thinking it was funny. We had to pull them up on their unprofessional behaviour numerous times.

The men took cigarette breaks throughout the move and then tried to quote us an extra hour which we disputed.

At an already stressful time when you want to rely on a professional, reliable and honest company we found using this company more stressful than doing it ourselves. I recommend anyone wanting a good removal service not to use this company.
